Carrot Halwa Dessert

Ingredients

  • 600g (1 ¼ lbs) Carrot
  • 750ml (1 ¼ pints) Fresh Milk
  • 150g (5oz) Sugar
  • 75g (3oz) Ghee
  • pinch of Ground Green Cardamom
  • 50g (2oz) East End Almonds (sliced)
  • 50g (2oz) East End Pistachio (sliced)
  • 50g (2oz) East End Cashew Nuts (chopped)
  • 25g (1oz) East End Green Sultanas

Method

Grate the carrots, and place them in a saucepan with the milk.

Simmer over a moderate heat until the milk has evaporated.

Add the sugar to the mixture and stir until dissolved.
