Chapattis

Ingredients

  • 300g East End Chapatti Medium Flour
  • 1 pint Water
  • 1-2 tsp East End Sunflower Oil

Method

Put the flour into a bowl. Gradually add just enough coldwater to make a stiff dough.

Knead dough for 3-4mins and then place in bowl. Place the bowl in the fridge for 30mins.

Divide the dough into 4 or 5 evenly sized balls. Take each ball and roll it out to desired thickness (usually 2-4mm).

Heat the tawa, hot plate or frying pan over a medium heat, with the oil in. Gently heat the chapatti, turning several times, until golden brown.

East End Chapattis are delicious with East End Sag and many other East End dishes.
